has anyone else had clothing in their closet that looks like possible insect
urine. i just washed an old sweatshirt that i haven't worn this season that
had a couple of yellow stains on the shoulder. luckily it was white and i
used clorox.
i just cleaned out my closets and didn't vaccuum up any droppings. do you
think it could be crickets? thats the only insects i've ever noticed
inside.

It's mold. Presoaking in cold water, then washing hot or warm, may
remove a lot of the staining without bleach.
Crickets and mold require humidity. Borax will stop crickets and mold.
If you intend to store a garment where mold may attack, you could wet it (
by spraying or soaking) with water containing borax, then let it dry. I
doubt that trace of borax would bother a person who wore the garment
without first washing it.
